The story behind the name
Morea is Princ's story. It goes back to the Arbëreshë, the Albanians who left home starting in the 13th and 14th century and settled in southern Italy, and to the more recent generations who fled during the wars in the Balkans. Wherever they landed, they carried the memory of home with them, and kept it alive the only way they could. They sang about it.
